The CHS Astronomy Club has been active since 1991. At the present time we use two 8" Newtonian telescopes on Dobsonian mounts and two 8" Schmidt-Cassegrains on equitorial mounts.

Goals of the Astronomy Club
Members will learn
about the different types of telescopes.
Members will learn how to locate and observe deep space
objects.
Members will be able to identify the different types of
deep space objects.
Members shall participate in the Messier Marathon in March 2006.
Members shall add to the CCD astrophotography
collection.
